Coming from a family that has been in textile retail for over 100 years, the Osmans have seamlessly evolved in the business of men's bespoke clothing with the establishment of Studio Bassam - a brand that is synonymous with personalised service, hand-picked fabrics and impeccable cuts.
Established in 2008, Studio Bassam has grown from strength to strength by building a global clientele. Our hands-on approach remains the heart of our business with tailoring techniques that have remain unchanged over the years, much like our values.
BASSAM OSMAN
Founder, Bangalore
Born and brought up in Bangalore, lived in Chennai for 15 years, it was Bassam Osman's vision to create a niche brand that catered to a discerning clientele.
Having spent most of his childhood surrounded by fabric at Jean Machine that was run by his father and his uncle, Bassam has an eye for detail and a keen sense of the industry. He further honed his skills when he worked at the Raymond outlet, his grandfather’s retail establishment.
Bassam's formal education followed the trajectory of his passion for sartorial design. On completion of his Visual Communication degree, he went on to be a mentor for emerging talent at NIFT and also armed himself with a Certification in Men’s Wear from Scuola Di Moda Sartoriale, Italy, before starting Studio Bassam in 2008 in Chennai and Bangalore.
Bassam, who loves restoring and riding retro motorcycles is also known for his collection of scale model cars, brought his interests to the fore when he organised and managed India’s only Men’s Lifestyle Expo ( Exhibit 1, 2 & 3) in Bangalore 3 years consecutively in 2017, 2018 & 2019.
GIBRAN OSMAN

Heading the Chennai chapter of Studio Bassam is Gibran Osman who brings to the brand an effervescence and a personal attentiveness that has built a remarkable following and goodwill in the city.
An actor at heart, Gibran discovered he loved acting when at ten years old he acted in his school's annual day play. Right from his chocolate-boy good looks as SS Music VJ to his role in the Tamil feature ’Bale Pandiya’, Gibran’s performances always drew attention. Formally trained as an actor at Rajiv Menon's Film Institute Mind Screen, he was discovered by Janaki Vishwanathan in 2007. A National Award winning director, she cast him in a film titled Naanum Avarghalum.
Having acted in numerous films and being a renowned theatre artiste, Gibran always understood the importance of presentation. Most significantly, he has nurtured and established a loyal following for the brand within the film industry, that is based on integrity and faith.
